Ā This peanut butter brownie batter dessert hummus is the perfect healthier dessert that will surprise the crowd IF you reveal the secret star ingredient- chickpeas! This dip pairs perfectly with pretzels, apples, or my sonās personal favorite- strawberries.
It tastes like brownie batter, with a little less sugar and a lot more fiber!
Peanut Butter Brownie Batter Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 15oz can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), grained, rinsed and peeled
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp pink himalayan salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2-4 tbsp almond milk to reach desired thickness
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse and peel chickpeas.
- Blend all ingredients in food processor/high speed blender, fold in optional chocolate chips for added texture and fun.
- Serve with pretzels, strawberries, apples etc. Enjoy!
